Annandale completes local Kilmarnock College Campus project

Annandale Design is delighted to have completed an extensive project for their local community, at the £53m Kilmarnock College Campus.

Appointed by contractors McLaughlin and Harvey, Annandale was commissioned to design, manufacture and install the complete metalwork package with work beginning in August 2015 and reaching completion in May of this year.

This was a fantastic project for the business which included providing services for a number of our key offerings; steel stairs, steel balustrades, a main feature staircase, fire escape stairs and structural glass balustrades to the internal atrium space.

Annandale Design is local to Kilmarnock College and this was a great opportunity to showcase our quality and expertise to the local community, as well as make a difference and be part of something special. Being able to be responsive to meet the demands of such a large and complex project, meant we were able to reduce lead times with minimal carriage and haulage costs.

At Annandale, the majority of our staff are local, which in turn contributes to the local economy. We have also supported the College through our Apprenticeship Scheme for approximately 40 years and with our apprentices having worked on this project and now attending the new College, gives them sense of pride and achievement in the work they have carried out.

We are proud to have contributed our expertise and delivered the quality of work to Kilmarnock College Campus in the manner many people have come to expect from ourselves, and look forward to seeing the benefits the College will have on the local community.
